Marat Aksanovich Ilgamov.
Biographical information

Born on 8 April 1934 in Bashkortostan. Graduated from the Ufa Aviational Institute. Finished Post-Graduate School of Kazan Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences (Scientific Adviser Professor Kh.M.Mushtari).
1962Defended the PhD thesis.
1970Defended the DrSc thesis.
1972Received the rank of Professor.
1991Elected the Corresponding Member of the RAS.
1957-1959Engineer at the Air Jet Design Bureau, Ufa.
1959-1971Graduate Student, Kazan Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences; Minor Scientific Researcher, Senior Scientific Researcher, Kazan Physical Technical Institute, Kazan Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
1971-1991Head of Laboratory at Kazan Physical Technical Institute, Kazan Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
1977-1989Deputy Chairman of Presidium, Kazan Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
1989-1991Deputy Director, Kazan Physical Technical Institute KSC RAS.
1991-1996Director, Institute of Mechanics and Engineering KSC RAS. The creation of the IME was the result of many years of dedicated work by M.A. Ilgamov. He ensured its development and growth.
1996-2004Deputy Chairman of Presidium, Ufa Branch RAS; Vice-President, Academy of Sciences of Bashkortostan; Head of Solid Mechanics Laboratory, Institute of Mechanics.
