The main research and results directions:
It is developed the efficient version of finite elements method,
providing with the receipt of joint elements as applied to thin shells
of complicated geometry, these elements being in thermoforce field of
loading and meeting Kirhgoff-Lyan model. The algorithm makes it
possible to determine the stressed-strained state of thinwalled
structures, set in different coordinate systems, both analyticly and
tabular. It is worked out an approach of a mesh local thickening. It
is worked out the construction durability prognostication methodic,
taking into account corrosion wear and tear.
The works on industrial objects safety are fulfilled. The principal
results are set out in the following books:
-
Jakupov N.M., Serazutdinov M.N. Analysis of elastic
thinwalled structures of complicated geometry. Kazan, 1993 (in
Russian)
-
Jakupov N.M. Applied problems of mechanics of elastic
thinwalled structures. Kazan, 1994 (in Russian)

analysis and prognostication of construction durability and
recommendations on its restoration. Methodic direction. Kazan,

Industrial objects safety, edited by N.M.Yakupov. Kazan,
1996
It is devised the technology of shell forming in the form of
spherical segments, widely used as safety membranes in chemical,
petro-chemical and other industries.
The plant "Device for Making and Examining of Dome-Shaped Safety
Membranes" is worked out and made for reliable safety membranes
production. Patent No. 1756786 of the Russian Federation is taken out
for this plant.
